A Place in the Sun star Danni Menzies took a luxurious holiday to the Cayman Islands in April to visit her friend Steph and shared photos from the trip to Instagram.

In one photo, the Scottish star, 36, and Steph, both wearing blue bikinis, look lovingly into each other's eyes while throwing their arms out on the beach.

Dani co-presented A Place In The Sun with an ensemble team from 2016 and announced her departure from the programme earlier this year.

In another snap, Danni gave her over 100,000 followers a better look at the string bikini which she wrapped up her waist.

'You’ve moved to paradise and it looks like you’ve bloody nailed that life decision. I miss ya already and can’t wait for the next one!

'Thank you to all your gorgeous family & friends, new and old who made it so special! Love ya 4 eva xxxx.'

More photos showed Danni taking a selfie while walking along the beach wearing a black crop top and shorts set.

In another, Danni looked especially blonde and showed off her side profile in Fendi sunglasses and a denim baseball cap.

A final solo selfie saw Danni flaunt her gold crucifix and pendant on the beach, sitting on a striped beach towel, with her straw bag in the background.

She reunited with Steph for another selfie which saw them take full advantage of golden hour as they wore toothy grins.

Then, the two women lounged on blankets on the floor with Danni resting on Steph's shoulder and very nearly bursting out of her cream and blue bikini top.

The women put safety first when they donned seatbelts for their last selfie together in Steph's car.

Danni even tried her hand at surfing, sporting leopard-print bikini bottoms, showing off her incredible balancing skills on electric surfboard eFoil.

In February, Danni paid a heartfelt tribute to her A Place In The Sun co-star Jonnie Irwin following his tragic death from terminal lung cancer aged 50.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, Danni shared a poem by Ida Banks and told her followers how her former colleague would 'continue to exist in those who loved him'.

The post read: 'When we die I want to believe that we are scattered throughout all the people that have ever loved us'.

'That we will continue to exist in them, in their bloodstreams, for generations, for lifetimes.'

Danni added over the top: 'You will Jonnie xxx'.
